- A rich source of natural tannins (gallic and ellagic) for dyeing and tanning.
- Use to pre-treat cotton and linen before mordanting and dyeing.
- A perfect base for dyeing bright shades like yellow and red, or dark shades like purple and black.
- Combine with an aluminum mordant or iron mordant for the best results.
